Canada. Dominion of Canada. 1923-1925 issues. 1 Dollar Type 1923. Date: July 2nd, 1923. Printer: Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited (CBNC). Dimensions: 182 x 86 mm. Watermark: unknown. No security thread. Note printed by sheet of four copies with an identical sheet number. The banknote number is repeated twice and printed in red at the top. The note has two small black Check Letters positioned next to the green value "ONE" and to the right of the seal. The serial letter is printed in red on the left of the number. The issue of the 1 Dollar Type 1923 note is divided into four groups. Front and back: print in black and green. Front: A frame with the value "1 ONE" printed in the upper corners. In the center, a portrait of HRH King George V with "The Dominion of Canada" imprinted curved above the portrait. Below, two maple leaves and the "ONE DOLLAR" value printed horizontally. Three variants of signatures with The Controller of the Currency and The Minister of Finance. This type of bill is characterized by the different colors of the seal of the Department of Finance printed on the right of the portrait. Back: composition of rosettes printed in green monochrome. In the center, a view of the Ottawa Parliament Bookstore and above, "Dominion of Canada". The value "1" is printed in the corners and in two rosettes on the sides of the drawing. The photo note (Ref: # DC-25c) was sold in AU grade at $ 977.50 by Heritage Auctions, Auction # 418, Lot # 16007, from The Halton Lake Collection, 2006.
