About #2 - 1 franc Colonial Treasury Type 1884
Colonial Treasury. Colony of Martinique. Decree of August 18, 1884. First Type.Work of Claverie. Dimensions: 129 x 94 mm. Banknote without watermark. Front and back: print in red and black on light beige paper. Printer: Paris. - Imp. Vve Ethiou Pérou. Front: Vignette composed of a frame of exotic vegetation with trees, flowers and birds printed in red. The value "UN FRANC" is printed at the center of the note. The signatures and number are printed in black. Three variants of signatures with the Director of the Interior and the Treasurer-Payer. Signatures are often unidentified. At the bottom of the note, the mention "La contre-valeur en espèces est déposée au Trésor". Back: Floral frame in which the value "1" is repeated five times and two small cherubs seem to appear in the floral arrangement in the center. No known specimens. Banknotes found: 137,138 - 138,290 - 154,495 - 180,386 - 379,134. Very rare !
