Description
Bank of Guyana. First issue in 1942. Dimensions: 105 x 63 mm. No watermark. Front and back: print in red on cream paper. Front: floral frame printed in red with four lion heads in square medallions at the corners of the frame. The value "1" is repeated four times in the corners. The signatures are printed in black. In the center of the note "BON Pour Un Franc". Four signature variants with The Director and The Cashier. Back: floral frame printed in red. In the center, black oval stamp with "BANQUE DE LA GUYANE", "CAYENNE" and the banknote number printed in black. Article 139 of the law text is not present on the note. No known specimens.
