Front and back: multicolored printing. Front: The label and the value in numbers and letters are printed in red. The numbering, the signature and the two surcharges "SAINT-PIERRE-ET-MIQUELON" are printed in black. The "COUNTER-VALUE OF 1 NEW FRANC" surcharge is printed in blue at the watermark location. On the left, portrait of Belain d'Esnanbuc, French settler and buccaneer at the origin of the French presence in the West Indies. On the right a caravel sailing at full speed on the ocean. One signature: The Director General: A. Postel-Vinay. Back: Naked woman wearing jewelry and tribal decorations in front of a village hut. On the right, article 139 of the Penal Code printed in a clear cartridge. The "SAINT-PIERRE-ET-MIQUELON" overprint repeated twice is printed in black. Specimen of the issued note signed and numbered O.000 - 00000 with surcharge "SPECIMEN" by oblique perforation and two damp black pads on the sides.
