Printer: Thomas de La Rue (TDLR), London. Color changing safety thread with printed Guernsey. Material: paper. Full color front and back print, predominantly brown, purple, green and yellow. Description of the front: security background composed with patterns of Guernsey lilies. On the left, a crown of olive branches frames the Bailiwick seal. In the center, a view of the market with stands and vendors in 1822. Texts in English, guilloche patterns. The numbering and signature are printed in black. A single signature with The Treasurer Bethan Haines. Description on the back: a view of Fountain Street in St Peter Port in 1799. On the right, a portrait of Thomas de la Rue and a page from the newspaper Le Miroir Politique. The specimen is known as overprinted "SPECIMEN" in red on the diagonal front and back and numbered "TD / LR 000000".
