Front printing in red and black. Front description: From left to right, portraits of explorers Meriwether Lewis (1774-1809) and William Clark (1770-1838) who organized the famous Lewis and Clark expedition across North America. In the center, a bison. Seal on the right, numbering and the value "TEN X" in red. Frame composed of ornaments, figures and rosettes with the value "10" in the corners. Numerous signature combinations with the Register of the Treasury and Treasurer of the United States. Description of the back: Frame made up of ornaments and rosettes with the value "10" in the corners. In the center, a female figure representing Colombia, standing between two pillars and two scrolls containing the text of the law: “This Note is a Legal Tender…”. The back is monochrome green print.
