Front printing in red and black. Description of front: Center, a portrait of Andrew Jackson, seventh President of the United States from 1829 to 1837, from a painting by Thomas Sully. Small Seal in red on the left, "X DOLLAR" in red on the right and numbering in red. Frame composed of ornaments and guilloche shapes with the value "TEN 10" in the corners. Only one signature combination known with the Register of the Treasury (Speelman) and the Treasurer of the United States (White). Description of the back: Frame made up of ornaments and guilloche shapes with the letters "TEN" and the value "TEN 10" in the corners. On the sides, two rosettes with the value "10". No legal text: “This Note is a Legal Tender…”. The back is printed in green called "Greenback (money)".
