Bank of Martinique. No date (1946). Issued note in 1946. Work of Pierre Munier. Dimensions: 122 x 66 mm. Seamless watermark composed of small boats and anchors. 1,961,445 issued notes. Front and back: multicolored printing. The word "MARTINIQUE" repeated three times in the margin and the value "10" are printed in red. Numbering and signature printed in black. On the left, portrait of Jean-Baptiste Colbert, Minister of Finance and Secretary of State for the Navy of Louis XIV and on the right a fleet of commercial boats on the ocean. One signature: The Director General: A. Postel-Vinay. Back: lush exotic landscape and a view of a river on which a pirogue sails. At the bottom of the back right, article 139 of the Penal Code printed in a light blue cartridge. Specimen of the note issued numbered O.00 - 00000 with "SPECIMEN" diagonally perforated in the center of the note and two damp pads black and vertical on the sides. The specimen in photo is numbered O.00 - 00000 but not overprinted or perforated. Uniface proof of the front unsigned or numbered. Number range of issued notes: 26.000.001 to 28.000.000.
