Description

Saint-Pierre-and-Miquelon. No date (1946) modified. Emission of 1950. Work of Pierre Munier. Dimensions: 122 x 66 mm. Seamless watermark composed of small boats and anchors. Front and back: multicolored printing. Front: Overprinted "SAINT-PIERRE-ET-MIQUELON" in brown repeated twice on the sidelines. The value "10" in letters and numbers is printed in brown. The numbering and the signature are printed in black. Left, portrait of Jean-Baptiste Colbert, Minister of Finance and Secretary of State of the Navy of Louis XIV and right a fleet of commercial boats on the ocean. One signature: The Director General: A. Postel-Vinay. Back: Lush exotic landscape and a view of a river on which a pirogue sails. At the bottom of the back right, article 139 of the Penal Code printed in a light blue cartouche. Specimen of issued note numbered O.00 - 00000 with "SPECIMEN" perforated horizontally in the center of the bill. Most Popular Alphabets: C.41, D.41 and E.41.
