Printer: Bank of France, Paris. Dimensions: 122 x 70 mm. Watermark: portrait of a young native from the front.Front and back: multicolored printing. On the front: two young hunters in action in the bush. The value "10" is printed in red in the upper right corner above the oval watermark. Above in a yellow cartouche, the issuing institute "BANQUE DE L'AFRIQUE OCCIDENTALE (BANK OF WEST AFRICA)". The numbering, date and signatures are printed in black. On the left, the value in letters is printed in purple above the signatures and the acronym "BAO" printed in red. Two variants of signatures with the President and the Chief Executive Officer. On the back: a young man comes back from the hunt carrying an antelope on his shoulder. The value in figures is repeated in purple in the upper corners. At the top, the issuing institute "BANQUE DE L'AFRIQUE OCCIDENTALE" is printed in blue in the thumbnail. In bottom on the right, article 139 of the Penal Code is mentioned in very small on three lines in a yellow cartridge. The specimen on issued note is known dated “00-0-0000”, numbered “O.00-00000”, perforated “SPÉCIMEN” and overprinted “SPÉCIMEN” with the purple stamp on the front and back. A proof is known dated “00-0-0000”, numbered “O.00-00000”, but without watermark and without overprint. Complete single-sided proofs of the front and back are known without watermarks.
