Tunisia. French administration. Bank of Algeria - Tunisia. Creation date: 04-11-1946. Date of issue: 26-3-1947. Work by Robert Pougheon and engraving by Broutin for the front and by C. Beltrand for the back. Dimensions: 109 x 68 mm. Watermark: Moorish profile. Printer: Banque de France. Front and back: polychrome print, mainly yellow, blue and orange. Description of the front: texts in Arabic. Background consisting of an ancient Roman stone archway. In the foreground on the right, a marble bust of the Greek god Hermes. The wording of the issuing institute "BANK OF ALGERIA - TUNISIA", the numbering, the signatures and the date of issue are printed in black. In the center, the value "100" in white in a red cartridge. Only one type of signature is known with Couquet, The General Cashier and Delahaye, The General Secretary. Description of the back: texts in French. Drawing showing the unloading of a ship after an ancient mosaic from the Alaoui Museum in Sousse. Below, article 139 of the Penal Code is printed on two lines in a red frame. The specimen is known as overprinted "SPECIMEN" in red diagonally on the front and back. The note is watermarked, signed Couquet / Delahaye, dated "00-00-0000" and numbered "O.00 - 000".
