Bank of Guyana. No date (1942). First issue in 1942. Printed in black on cream paper. Security background with the mention "Banque de la Guiana" reproduced continuously in red rose on the front. Dimensions: 170 x 100 mm. Banknote without watermark. Printer: E.A Wright Banknote Co. of Philadelphia Printing Company. Front: black and white frame consisting of graphic lines with the value "100" in white and repeated in the upper corners. On the left, a map of Guyana drawn on an old parchment and a compass. The remaining space is occupied in the center by the value "100" repeated twice and the mention "Bank of Guyana" in a cartouche at the top of the note. Numbering, alphabet and signatures are printed in black. Two variants of signatures with The Director, A Censor and The Cashier. Back: graphic composition printed in blue green. Security background identical to the front. Monogram "BG" in a central medallion and the value "100" in two other medallions printed on each side. At the bottom, article 139 of the Penal Code printed on two lines. Unsigned specimen, numbered AV6. Unsigned specimen, numbered A1-000. Unsigned and unnumbered specimen. 3477 tickets were still in circulation in 1978!
