Bank of Martinique. No date (1942). First issue in 1943. Green print on a yellow background with the mention "Bank of Martinique" reproduced continuously on the front and printed in dark green on the back. Dimensions: 180 x 90 mm. Banknote without watermark. Printer: E.A Wright Banknote Co. of Philadelphia Printing Company. Front: A green frame composed of fine complex graphic lines with the value "100" in the two upper corners. On the left, a symbolic representation of Agriculture with a sitting young woman holding a pineapple in her hand and fruit baskets are placed at her feet. The numbering and the alphabet are printed in red and the three signatures are printed in black. Three variants of signatures with The Director, The Cashier and A Censor. Back: A frame composed of fine complex graphic lines with the value "100" repeated twice. In the center, a symbolic representation of the culture of the vineyard with a young woman sitting holding a bunch of grapes in her hand. A baby sitting next to her drops another bunch of grapes from a filled basket behind him. Article 139 of the Penal Code is printed in green at the bottom of the note on one line. Unsigned front / back specimen, numbered A51-000 or A63-000 with two surcharges "SPECIMEN" in oblique red on the front. Uniface proof, unsigned, unnumbered, and non-overprinted. Uniface proof front / back printed in unsigned black, unnumbered and stuck on brown cardboard.
