Description
State Bank of Morocco. Banknote issued from 1948 to 1952. Work of Sébastien Laurent and engraving by Eugène Gaspérini. Dimensions: 130 x 85 mm. Two watermarks: on the left a head of lion of face and on the right a head of lion in profile. Multicolored front and back printing on white paper. Front: Graphic composition with decorated columns on the sides. The value "100" is printed at the bottom in the arabesques. The mention "State Bank of Morocco" is printed on a line in a yellow cartridge at the top. The numbering and the alphabet are repeated at the bottom and at the top in small clear cartridges and are printed in black, as well as the date of issue. In the center, a window with a view of the mythical Ksar of Ait-ben-haddou in southern Morocco. At the bottom, the value "CENT FRANCS" and the article of law are printed in a light yellow cartridge. Back: Frame decorated with arabic motifs on a background of repeating motifs opening on an arch. One type of signatures: Guessous / Spitzer / Oudot. The specimen is known with an oblique black surcharge "SPECIMEN" on notes issued from the alphabet "A.1". We saw the copy "A.1 - 00323".
