France. Bank of France. 1958-2000 Issues. 100 francs Type 1997 Cézanne (Ref. Fayette-Dessal: # F.74 or Pick: # 158). Work by Roger Pfund. Dimensions: 133 x 80 mm. Printer: Banque of France. Watermark: portrait of Paul Cézanne from the front. Front and back: polychrome printing with dominant green and orange. Description of the front: portrait of Paul Cézanne (1838-1906). In the background, an evocation of "La mer à l'Estaque", a painting from 1878-1879 and below, an extract from the painting "The card players". On the left above the watermark, a stylized representation of the family property, the Jas de Bouffan. The signatures, numbering and date are printed in black. Letter and 9-digit numbering lower left. Description of the back: on the left, the value in figures, the canvas "Pommes et biscuits" dated 1880. There is a chromatic circle above the watermark and at the bottom "The card players" as on the front. A single combination of signatures with the Secretary General, the Controller General and the Cashier General: Didier Bruneel, Jean Bonnardin and Yves Barroux. Total amount authorized for creation from December 12, 1995 to July 5, 1999: 172.8 billion francs, or 1.728 billion banknotes. (source: Banque de France).
