About #101 - 100 gulden Type 1992 Steenuil
Netherlands. 1977-1997 Issues. De Nederlandsche Bank. This is the first Dutch banknote that is extra protected against color copying, due to gloss effects, such as foil, metallic ink and pearl gloss areas. Varieties: brown or black bar code / large © or small ©. Printer: Johan Enschedé en Zonen (JEZ), Haarlem. Designer: Drupsteen, Jaap T.G. (1942-). Watermark: Little owl. Dimensions: 154 x 77 mm. Date: 09-01-1992. No security thread. Security signs: Built into the paper fibers, in the ultraviolet, are yellow. Material: paper. Texts in Dutch. Description of the front: Front and back printing predominantly dark and light brown, gray and gold on multicolor underprint. At top, the name of the bank, Amsterdam, date and signatures in gold. Composition with grid of 100 circular figures, over it a large circle and value figure '100'. At bottom, the value in letters in purple-red. Signatures: President: Willem Frederik "Wim" Duisenberg, Secretaris: T. de Swaan. Description of the back: multicolor. Security background in geometric designs with grid of 100 circular figures, large circle over it. Value 100 in white at 2 corners. Watermark at left. Serial banknote number is printed under barcode. The specimen is known overprinted in red diagonally front and reverse in open letters "SPECIMEN". Other reference: Soetens/Grolle/Koeze 18,2.
