The note is undated but was issued in 1940. Printer: Bank of France. Full color printing front and back, mainly brown, green, red and yellow. Texts in French. Description of the front: market scene. In the foreground on the right, a young woman with naked breasts is seated next to a stall of fruit and pottery. In the background, other vendors, and in the distance, a caravan of camels, the minaret and the village mosque. At the top border, the value "1000" and the label "BANK OF INDOCHINA" are printed in red in yellow cartridges. Below, the value in letters is printed in blue in the center. The ticket is overprinted “PAPEETE” in black on the left. The numbering and the alphabet are printed in black and repeated at the top and bottom of the composition.
