Issuing Institute of French Equatorial Africa and Cameroon. Banknote issued in 1957 but undated. Work of Pierre Munier and engraving of Armanelli for the front and Marliat for the back. Dimensions: 158 x 103 mm. Printer: Bank of Algeria. Watermark: Bacongo girl's head. Front and back: multicolored printing. Front: The issuing institute "Issuing Institute of French Equatorial Africa and Cameroon", the value in figures and letters are printed in dark blue. Numbering and signatures are printed in black. On the left, a young girl showing off her basket filled with cocoa pods. Two types of signatures: The President, Georges Armand Gautier and The Director General, Claude Panouillot. Back: A man in a field picking cotton flowers. The value in figures is printed in green blue on the sides of the bill. On the bottom left, article 139 of the Penal Code is printed in an orange-pink cartouche. Three types of specimens: a specimen of the issued note numbered O.00 - 00000 with "SPECIMEN" perforated vertically on the right side of the bill. A specimen of the issued note numbered O.00 - 00000 with "SPECIMEN" perforated vertically on the right side of the note and a specimen number affixed in black on two lines to the left. A specimen of the issued note numbered O.00 - 00000 with "SPECIMEN" perforated vertically on the right side of the bill, a surcharge "SPECIMEN" in black on the left and a number affixed on the watermark.
