French Equatorial Africa (AEF). Central Bank of Overseas France (CCFO). Banknote issued in 1947 but undated. Work of Robert Poughéon and engraving of G. Hourriez for the front and William Fel and engraving of Armanelli for the back. Printer: Bank of France. Dimensions: 193 x 103 mm. Watermark with a woman's head wearing a Phrygian cap. Front and back: Multicolored printing. Front: The issuing institute "Caisse Centrale de la France d'Outre-Mer", the value in figures and letters are printed in blue. The numbering and the signature are printed in black. Right, the symbol of the French Union with a woman of metropolis looking at a West Indian woman in front of a palm grove. One signature: The Director General: A. Postel-Vinay. Back: Guadeloupean woman wearing a madras in front of a canoe sailing at sunset. At the bottom of the back, article 139 of the Penal Code is printed in a blue cartouche. Specimen of the issued note numbered O.000 - 00000 with "SPECIMEN" perforated obliquely in the center of the note. Another specimen with "SPECIMEN" obliquely perforated in the center of the bill and with four vertical black wet pads in the corners on the front and back. Workshop proofs of the front undated and not watermarked with G. Hourriez's handwritten signature on one of them.
