Netherlands. 1945 Issues. De Nederlandsche Bank. Printer: Waterlow & Sons Ltd., London. Dimensions: 150 x 85 mm. Date: 07-05-1945. No security thread. Material: paper. Texts in Dutch. Description of the front: Front and back printing predominantly black, green, blue and orange. Frame with guilloche patterns in repetition. Value 1000 at 4 corners. Security background in green with "De Nederlandsche Bank" in repetition. At center top, the name of the bank, the value in letters in the middle in a rosette. Below, Amsterdam with date and signatures in black. At right, a portrait of Willem I van Oranje, "de Zwijger" (William I, Prince of Orange, "the Silent"). Watermark at left. Signatures: De Secretaris, Westerman Holstijn / De President, Trip. Description of the back: Frame and background with guilloche patterns in repetition. Value 1000 at 4 corners. At center left, a view of the Afsluitdijk (Enclosure dam causeway) constructed in 1927-1933 and the text of Law below. Series letters and banknote number are printed in black and repeated four time.
