Dimensions: 169 x 97 mm. Date: 15-7-1956. No security thread. Material: paper. Texts in Dutch. Description of the front: Front and back printing predominantly brown and green. At center left, the name of the bank Amsterdam and date in green. Below, the watermark. At right, a portrait of Rembrandt van Rijn (Thyssen Collection, Villa Favorita, Lugano / authenticity doubtful). At left of the portrait: brushes, palette, windmill (sketch by Rembrandt). Value 1000 in white in a rosette. At bottom, value in letters, signatures in dark-brown. Signatures: Secretaris, De Jong / President, Holtrop. Description of the back: brown and green. Security background with a large multicolor rosette. At left, "Titus at his Desk" and Saskia (Rembrandt's son and wife), stormy landscape by Rembrandt, hand with brush and palette. At the top right, the text of Law. Series letters and banknote number are printed in black and repeated two time. DNB bank monogram under the watermark.
