Italy. Banca d'Italia. 1943-1947 Issues. Dimensions: 133 x 60 mm. Watermark: 1000. Printer: Officina Staderini di Roma per conto dell'Istituto Poligrafico dello Stato and Istituto Italiano Arti Grafiche di Bergamo per conto dell'Istituto Poligrafico dello Stato. No security thread. Material: paper. Polychrome front and back printing, predominantly blue, olive green and red. Description of the front: frame composed of repeating graphic patterns with the number "1000" oblique in the corners. Below, a seal in red with the head in profile of Italy. On the left in an oval medallion, the profile of Italia Turrita, the female allegorical figure personifying Italy. On the right, another oval medallion with the value in numbers and letters. The numbering and signatures are printed in black. Two signatures with Commissioner Nicolò Introna and Cashier Urbini. Description of the back: frame and security background composed of guilloche patterns with the words "Banca d'Italia", the value "1000" and the text of the law in the center. On the sides, the Bank of Italy “BI” monogram. No specimen known for Type. Replacement note with the W series.
