Description of the front: security background made up of dragons and griffins. On the right, the portrait of Marco Polo. In the center,the seal of the four Maritime Republics (Amalfi, Genoa, Pisa and Venice) and below the value "1000" in vertical. On the left, the location of the watermark and the signatures printed in black. Two combinations of signatures with The Governor and The Cashier. Description of the back: vertical composition.
