Italy. Banca d'Italia. 1962-1985 Issues. Work by G. Savini and engraving by M. Armenti. Dimensions: 156 x 70 mm. Watermark: portrait of a woman. Printer: Officina della Banca d'Italia. Security thread. Material: paper. Full-color front and back printing, predominantly red-brown, blue and purple. Description of the front: security background made up of guilloche shapes. On the left, the portrait of a woman by the italian painter Sandro Botticelli (1445-1510) and next to it in blue, the seal of the four Maritime Republics (Amalfi, Genoa, Pisa and Venice). On the right, the watermark and the value "100,000" above. The signatures are printed in purple. Two combinations of signatures with The Governor and The cashier. Description of the back: architectural elements with the value “100000” printed on the top right. The text of the penal code is printed above the watermark and the banknote number is printed in black below. No specimen known for the Type. Replacement note with X series.
