Watermark: Coat of arms of Tunisia. Printer: Thomas De La Rue & Company, Limited (TDLR), London, England. Front and back: Polychrome printing predominantly brown, green and purple. Description of the front: Guilloche frame with a safety background in shades of brown, green and purple. The labels are printed in Arabic at the top center. A single combination of signatures with General Manager Mansour Moalla and Governor Hédi Nouira. On the left, a portrait of Habib Bourguiba and on the right, a view of the Great Mosque of Kairouan, also called “Oqba Ibn Nafi mosque”. The value “١/٢” is repeated in the corners. Prefix "A / 1 to A / 15" before the number in black. Description of the back: thick guilloche frame made up of repeating geometric patterns. The name of the issuing institute is indicated in French "BANQUE CENTRALE DE TUNISIE". Below, a view of the temple of Jupiter in the ruins of Dougga and the coat of arms of Tunisia to the right. The western digit value "1/2" is repeated in the corners. The complete specimen is known overprinted "SPECIMEN" in red oblique in the center on the front and back and numbered A / 1 000000.
