Bank of Martinique. No date (1946). Issued note in 1946. Work of Pierre Munier. Dimensions: 136 x 75 mm. Seamless watermark composed of small boats and anchors. 950,203 issued notes? Front and back: multicolored printing. Front: the word "MARTINIQUE" repeated three times in the margin and the value "20" are printed in red. Numbering and signature printed in black. Right, portrait of Emile Gentil, French explorer of the nineteenth century and left, village scene with four characters dressed in a loincloth. One signature: The Director General: A. Postel-Vinay. Back: young man in bust in front of a landscape with a view on a river. At the bottom of the back right, article 139 of the Penal Code printed in a brown cartridge. Specimen of the issued note numbered O.000 - 00000 with "SPECIMEN" diagonally perforated in the center of the note and sometimes two black and vertical wet pads on the sides. Number range of issued banknotes: 12,500,001 to 12,800,000, 13,100,001 to 13,500,000, 15,300,001 to 15,600,000.
