Description
Switzerland. Swiss National Bank (Schweizerische Nationalbank). Second issue (1910-1955). Banknote identical to the Pick: # 12 and # 27 but with the different law text (Gesetzgebung über die Schweizerische Nationalbank). Work by Balzer (collaborator of Orell Füssli). Printer: Art Institute Orell Füssli in Zurich. Dimensions: 163 x 95 mm. No watermark. No security thread. Front and back: print in brown, light blue, and purple. Front: numbering, alphabet, labels, place and date of issue and signatures are printed in black. The value "20" is repeated twice to the right in medallions. In the center above, the Swiss cross. The texts are printed in three languages: French, German and Italian. On the left, portrait of "Vreneli" in a medallion, a profile taken from the 20 gold gold coin "Goldvreneli", the most famous Swiss coin issued between 1897 and 1949. Eight issue dates and seven variants signatures with Le Cashier, Chairman of the Board of the Bank and Director. Back: frame composed of rosettes and ornaments with the value "20" roughly in the center and repeated four times in medallion in the corners. Other Reference: TBB (The Banknote Book): B309.
