Value "20" in the corners. View of a river with a crocodile in the foreground on the right. Date in black. Prefix and numbering in black. Text prohibiting the counterfeiting of banknotes at the bottom center. Combinations of signatures with an Administrator and The Chairman: Firmin Peigneux / Hector Martin. Description of the back: monochrome printing in green. Decorative frame composed of rosettes. Texts in French. Value "20" in the corners and in the center of a large rose window. Rare.
Note: this banknote overprinted in red "GOUVERNEMENT KATANGA" on the front and back of a banknote from the Banque d'Émission du Rwanda et du Burundi was not found in good condition. The visual illustration therefore corresponds to a banknote from Rwanda and Burundi without the overprint for Katanga!
