New safety sign intended to prevent reproduction with the impression of small yellow circles also called "Omron rings". Windowed security thread with printed CEMAC. The note was put into circulation from 24-11-2003. Multicolor printing on front and back. Texts in French. Description of the front: in the center at the top, the words "BANK OF THE CENTRAL AFRICAN STATES" are printed in pink on two lines. The full banknote number is printed twice in black and red at the top and bottom of the drawing. The letters "A" in black on the sides indicate the country of issue code for Gabon. In the center, a hydroelectric dam and on the right the portrait of a young woman in pink. The value in letters "TWO THOUSAND FRANCS" is printed in pink in the center at the bottom in a frieze.
