Printer: Art Institute Orell Füssli in Zurich. Dimensions: 144 x 82 mm. No watermark. No security thread. Front and back: print in brown, cream and purple. Front: frame with rosettes and ornaments. The numbering, the alphabet, the labels, the place and date of issue and the signatures are printed in black. The value "40" is repeated twice to the right in medallions. In the center at the top, the Swiss cross in white. The texts are printed in three languages: French, German and Italian. On the left, a medallion portrait of "Winkelried", legendary hero of Swiss history who allowed the Confederates to win the victory over the troops of Duke Leopold III of Habsburg during the Battle of Sempach in 1386. Three types of signatures with The Cashier K.Bornhauser, Chairman of the Board of the Bank Johann-Daniel Hirter and Director Heinrich Kundert.
