About #4 - 5 francs Colonial Treasury Type 1895
Colonial Treasury. Colony of Martinique. Decree of August 18, 1884. Third Type. Issued note on January 19, 1895. Dimensions: 152 x 97 mm. Banknote without watermark. Front: monochrome print in black on light beige paper. Printer: Colonial Printing Office. Front: vignette composed of a frame of geometric figures. The value "CINQ FRANCS" is printed at the center of the note. A space is reserved for numbering. The signatures are handwritten and signed in purple. One type of signatures with the Director of the Interior and the Treasurer-Payer. At the bottom of the note, the words "La contre-valeur en espèces est déposée au Trésor". Back: No back, uniface note. No known specimens. Two banknotes found: one unsigned and unnumbered (see photo) and one issued note: #89500. Very rare !
