Description

5 francs Type 1938 Treasury overprinted. (Issues dates: 1.3.1938 to 11.5.1938). Colors printings: Blue on light brown underprint. Conjoined portrait King Albert I and Queen Elisabeth II in profile at left in a medallion. Banknote number, signatures and date are printing in black. Signatures Henri Sontag and Georges Janssen. Back: Seated man looking at factory scene. Watermark: King Leopold I in profile. Dimensions: 125 x 75 mm. Printer: BNB (Banque Nationale de Belgique). No security thread. Dutch and French texts. Banknote designed by Guillaume Minguet. Like #93 but with "TRESORERIE" overprint in the watermark on the front and "THESAURIE" overprint in the watermark on the back.
