Description

Bank of Martinique. No date (1941). First issue in 1941. Printing in blue and text in black on the front and blue on the back. Work of Julien Lung-Fou. Dimensions: 130 x 78 mm. Banknote without watermark. Printer: Imprimerie Bezaudin. Front: On the left, a marshal's baton with francisque on a vegetal background. The remaining space is occupied by the value "5" printed in blue. Numbering, alphabet and signatures are printed in black. One type of signatures with The Director and The Cashier. Back: Letters "BMB" in very large in the center of the vignette with the last "B" inverted and the value "5" in the corners of the frame. No known specimen. Banknotes found: B.1-01931, N1-02275 (XF+), O.1-13470, O.1-13533, V.1-20772, A.2-25185, S.2-43764, T.2, B.3-52748and B.3-52937 in photo also illustrates the book of the Dr. Kolsky: "The D.O.M-T.O.M Banknotes", published in 2006, 280 pages. Slabé PMG 64. These banknotes are very rare!
