Bank of Guadeloupe. No date (1942). First issue in 1944. Dimensions: 112 x 63 mm. Banknote without watermark. Black print on a yellow background with the mention "Bank of Guadeloupe" reproduced continuously. Printer: E.A Wright Banknote Co. of Philadelphia Printing Company. Front: black and white frame consisting of graphic lines with the value "5" in white and repeated in the four angles. Portrait of Christopher Columbus in the center in vignette. On each side, the value "5" in letters and in figures and the mention "Bank of Guadeloupe". Numbering, alphabet and signatures are printed in black. Two variants of signatures with The Director and The Cashier. Back: monochrome print in red brown. the value "5" in an oval in the center with a graphic composition of complex lines around. Unsigned specimen, numbered A.1 - 000 and twice overprinted SPECIMEN in red and oblique. Banknote withdrawn from circulation in June 1959.
