Description of the front: Front and back printing predominantly dark green on green and multicolor underprint. At bottom center, the name of the bank and the value in letters. Amsterdam, date and the signatures in green at top. At left, the watermark. Value 5 in green at 2 corners. At right, a portrait of Joost van den Vondel (1587-1679), closer, to the right, stylized after a painting by Govert Flinck (1615-1660). Signatures: Secretaris, De Bijll Nachenius / President, Zijlstra. Description of the back: green and yellow. Security background with patterns in repetition. Graphic design with new Amsterdamse Schouwburg, stylized entrance. Value 5 in green at 2 corners. Watermark at right and the text of Law at left (Art. 208). Serial banknote number is printed in black and repeated two time.
