Guernsey. States of Guernsey. 1980 Issues. British Administration. Undated note. Dimensions: 146 x 78 mm. Watermark: seal of the Bailiwick. Printer: Thomas de La Rue (TDLR), London. Solid security thread. Material: paper. Full color front and back print, predominantly brown, purple, green and yellow. Description of the front: security background composed with patterns of Guernsey lilies. On the left, a crown of olive branches frames the Bailiwick seal. In the center, a view of the Rocquaine fort built in 1804 on the Rocquaine rock forming a peninsula located on the west coast of the island of Guernsey. Texts in English, guilloche patterns. The numbering and signature are printed in black. A single signature with The Treasurer W. C. Bull. Description of the back: a view of the Fountain Street in 1799 in St Peter Port. On the right, a portrait of Thomas de la Rue and two children working on an envelope-making machine in 1851. No specimen known for the Type. Replacement note with Z series.
