Reunion Island. Colonial Treasury. Decree of May 2, 1879. Saint-Denis, July 8th, 1884. Second Type. Dimensions: 124 x 74 mm. Uniface note without watermark. Monochrome print in black on light cream paper. Printer: Unknown. Front: Vignette composed of a frame of geometric patterns with the value "0,50" repeated in the corners. In the upper right corner, a stamp "PAID MONTH OF FEBRUARY 18x7". The value in letters "BON POUR CINQUANTE CENTIMES" is printed at the center of the note. No numbering. Two signatures: The Delegate of the Director of the Interior: Campenon and The Treasurer Payer: Veyrières. At the bottom of the note, the words "La contre-valeur en espèces est déposée au Trésor". No known specimens. Origin: Colonial Treasury #86. Banknote very rare!
