About VF.31 - 50 francs French Treasury Type 1947
French army occupation issues for Austria and Germany with "Trésor Français" legend at left. Description: blue and multicolored design. Front: mercury at left center, value top left and right, reverse blue and multicolored, maiden at center. Watermark with helmeted head profile. Very difficult to find in good quality.

(2) Smallest known number: A.2-03309. Largest known number: W.2-98362. The following 5 series are missing: G.2, Q.2, S.2, T.2 and U.2.
(3) Smallest known number: A.3-25312. Largest known number: W.3-06924. The known series are: A.3, D.3, F.3 and W.3. This last series leaves hope of finding other letters!
(4) One known copy perforated "SPECIMEN" obliquely.
Note: copy L.1-19643 is perforated twice "SPECIMEN" obliquely. The note was sold for € 1,003 at cgb.fr, Internet Auction Banknotes of May 2020 (Lot #4380297).
The copies F.1-85398, F.1-98803, G.1-64785, J.1-44027, M.1-15900, N.2-47179 and Y.2-28693 have been falsified Suez banknotes (Ref. VF.42).
The Z.2-74649copy sold for € 40 at Numiscollection in May 2016, has a red Army Treasury stamp on the front as on some Suez or some 5 NF / 500 francs Trésor Public Type 1960 (Ref. VF.37). The note was lost during of its shipment.
