Printer: American Bank Note Company (ABNC). No security thread. The note is dated in red in the center. Front and back printing predominantly orange, green and purple. Texts in French. Description of the front: frame composed of repeating patterns with the value “50” repeated in the corners. Vegetation on the sides. On the upper border, the issuing institute "CENTRAL BANK OF BELGIAN CONGO AND RWANDA-BURUNDI" and below, the Congolese star printed in yellow in a blue rectangle. On the left, a large rosette containing the value "50" and the value in letters below. On the right in an oval medallion, the portrait of a young African woman in profile in black and white. The series and banknote number are printed four times in red. The signatures are printed in black at the bottom. The article of the penal code is printed in white on a line in the frame. A single combination of signatures with The Senior Officer Hector Martin and The Governor Paul Charles.
