No security thread. Front and back printing predominantly green, orange and purple. Texts in French. Description of the front: frame composed of diamonds and guilloche shapes in repetition. The value "50" is repeated in light yellow in the corners. A security background is made up of small repeating rosettes and a large purple rosette in the center. On the upper border, the issuing institute "CENTRAL BANK OF BELGIAN CONGO AND RWANDA-BURUNDI", the date of issue in black, the value "FIFTY FRANCS", the words "PAYABLE BY SIGHT" and the signatures printed in black. On the left in an oval medallion with a decorated outline, the profile portrait of a young Mangbetu woman with the Congolese star printed in yellow above. The series and banknote number are printed twice in black. On the right, the watermark. At the bottom, the article of the penal code is printed on a line in the frame.
