No security thread. Front and back printing predominantly green, orange and purple. Texts in French. Description of the front: frame composed of diamonds and guilloche shapes in repetition. The value "50" is repeated in light yellow in the corners. A security background is made up of small repeating rosettes and a large purple rosette in the center. On the upper border, the issuing institute "CENTRAL BANK OF BELGIAN CONGO AND RWANDA-BURUNDI", the date of issue in black, the value "FIFTY FRANCS", the words "PAYABLE BY SIGHT" and the signatures printed in black. On the left in an oval medallion with a decorated outline, the profile portrait of a young Mangbetu woman with the Congolese star printed in yellow above.
