Watermark: Peulh shepherd's head in profile. Front and back: multicolored printing. On the front: three young women conversing. On the left in the background, there is a sculpture and a rider in front of a Sudanese house. In the top of the note in the center in blue, the issuing institute "CENTRAL BANK OF WEST AFRICAN STATES". The value “50” is printed in blue in a yellow rectangle and repeated in the upper corners. The numbering, date and signatures are printed in black. A single type of signature with The President, Robert Tezenas du Montcel and The Director General, Robert Julienne. On the back: an African dancer adjusts his ceremonial hairstyle. The value “50” is printed in blue in a yellow-green rectangle and repeated in the upper corners. At the top on three lines, the issuing institute "CENTRAL BANK OF WEST AFRICAN STATES" is printed in dark blue in a yellow-orange cartridge. On the left, the watermark area in a rectangle and below, the article of the Penal Code is mentioned in a yellow-green cartridge. The specimen is numbered "O.0-00000", perforated "SPECIMEN" and bearing the signatures of R. Tezenas du Montcel and R. Julienne.
