Italy. Banca d'Italia. 1943-1947 Issues. Banknote identical to Pick # 47 but with the "FASCIO" seal and redisigned back. Work by Rinaldo Barbetti and engraving by E. Ballarini. Dimensions: 168 x 107 mm. Watermark: Neptune's head in profile. Printer: Officina Carte-Valori I.P.S. No security thread. Material: w/o counterfoil paper. Front and back printing in tri-color predominantly blue, green and red. Description of the front: green safety background composed of repeating patterns. On the left, a large decorated letter "L" and an allegory of the arts seated with children in their arms. A bird perched on the right. In the center at the bottom, a seal in red with the head in profile of Italia. Texts in Italian. The numbering and signatures are printed in black. Two signatures with The Governor Vincenzo Azzolini and The Cashier Urbini. Description of the back: right, in an oval medallion, a profile of a woman wearing a hat. On the left, an oval placed on a pedestal contains the watermark. In the center, a "FASCIO" seal. No specimen known for the Type.
