Description
Bank of Guadeloupe. No date (1955) modified 1960 identical to the Pick: #40 but with the watermark overprinted in red "CONTRE-VALEUR DE 50 NOUVEAUX FRANCS". Work of Robert Poughéon. Dimensions: 196 x 107 mm. Watermark with West Indian head profile left. Front and back: multicolored printing. Front: the word "GUADELOUPE" in red is repeated continuously in the margin around the bill. The title is printed in dark blue and the values "5000" in gray. The numbering and the signature are printed in black. In the center, a West Indian woman presents a basket of fruits in front of a group of palm trees on the left. One signature: The Director General: A. Postel-Vinay. Back: group of people in full harvest of sugar cane. At the bottom left, article 139 of the Penal Code is printed in a gray cartridge. Specimen of the issued note numbered 00.O - 000 with "SPECIMEN" in vertical perforations on the right and left of the sticker and a surcharge "SPECIMEN" in black printed in the upper left corner.
