Gabon. Bank of Central African States (BEAC). 1984-1991 Issues. Dimensions: 150 x 75 mm. Material: paper. Watermark: sculpture of seated figure. Printer: Oberthur Fiduciaire. No security thread. The note is dated 1-01-1985. Multicolored front and back print, predominantly orange, brown and yellow. Texts in French. Description of the front: security background composed of geometric shapes and scrolls. In the center at the top, the words "GABONESE REPUBLIC" are printed in brown. Below, the full banknote number is printed in black. The value "500" is printed in blue and brown at two opposite angles. The signatures, number and series are printed in black. On the left, the watermark and on the right, a wooden sculpture representing an ancestral figure with a bowl as an offering on the head and a vase next to it. On the right, a stylized flower contains the value "500" and above it, the value in letters is printed in brown. A single combination of signatures printed in black with The Governor, Casimir Marie-Ange Oyé-Mba and A Auditor, Jean-François N'toutoume Emane. Description of the back: security background composed of geometric shapes, scrolls and a rosette in the center. In the foreground, a seated young man is sculpting a mask. Two finished sculptures are placed on the right. The value "500" is printed in white and brown in opposite corners.
