Gabon. Bank of the Central African States (BEAC). 2002 Issues. Dimensions: 130 x 70 mm. Material: paper. Watermark: three antelope heads and electrotype BEAC. Windowed security thread with printed CEMAC. Printer: Oberthur Fiduciaire. New safety sign intended to prevent reproduction with the impression of small yellow circles also called "Omron rings". The note was put into circulation from 24-11-2003. Multicolor printing on front and back. Texts in French. Description of the front: in the center at the top, the words "BANK OF CENTRAL AFRICAN STATES" are printed in brown. The full banknote number is printed twice in black at the top and bottom of the drawing. The letters "A" in black on the sides indicate the country of issue code for Gabon. In the center, four students in class and a fifth in the foreground on the right. The value in letters "FIVE HUNDRED FRANCS" is printed in brown in the center at the bottom. Description of the back: in the center at the top, the label of the issuing institution "BANK OF CENTRAL AFRICAN STATES" is printed in brown on two lines. The value "500" is printed in brown at the top corners. In the center, a woman poses in front of the huts of a village. Three combinations of signatures printed in brown with The Governor and A Auditor. On the right, the watermark and below in a frieze, the year of issue "2002" printed in brown.
