Description

French Treasury. Banque of Algeria. 1940-1945 Issues. 5,000 Francs (Algeria) Type 1943 "TRESOR" overprint (another ref. Schwan-Boling: 119). The note is overprinted "TRESOR" in black in large letters across the face. 844,014 reportedly issued... all examples were normally destroyed. Signatures: Escallier, Sebald and P. De Roux. The banknote pictured above has been sold on ebay for € 1662 in january 2013. Another one has be seen with number P28  745.
