Description of the front: a frame composed of multicolored squares and at the top border, a light yellow frieze with the value “5,000” printed in dark blue in the corners. In the center, the issuing institute "CENTRAL BANK OF MALI" is printed in blue. Below, the banknote number is printed in black and the letter value is printed in blue on a white stripe. On the left, a herd of zebus and the watermark above. The signatures are printed in black in the drawing. On the right, a Fulani shepherd wearing a blue turban.
