The note is undated. Multicolored front and back intaglio print, predominantly yellow, blue and brown. Texts in French. Description of the front: a frame composed of multicolored squares and at the top border, a light yellow frieze with the value “5,000” printed in dark blue in the corners. In the center, the issuing institute "CENTRAL BANK OF MALI" is printed in blue. Below, the banknote number is printed in black and the letter value is printed in blue on a white stripe. On the left, a herd of zebus and the watermark above. The signatures are printed in black in the drawing. On the right, a Fulani shepherd wearing a blue turban. Five combinations of signatures known to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer. Below, a frieze decorated with multicolored squares. The series and number are printed in black in yellow cartridges on the sides. Description of the back: contour decorated with the value "5,000" and the issuing institute "CENTRAL BANK OF MALI" printed in blue on a yellow background.
