Gabon. Bank of the Central African States (BEAC). 1993-2002 Issues. Dimensions: 162 x 79 mm. Material: paper. Watermark: head of a worker wearing a hardhat. Printer: Bank of France. Green pattern with changing color. Discontinuous metallic strip. Solid security thread. The banknote was put into circulation from 20-12-1994. Multicolored front and back print, predominantly blue, purple and red. Texts in French. Description of the front: in the center at the top, the words "BANK OF CENTRAL AFRICAN STATES" are printed in black on a pink background. The full banknote number and value "5000" are printed in the opposite corners. The letters "L" located next to the values "5000" indicate the country of issue code for Gabon. In the center, colorful geometric patterns, oil derricks and on the right the portrait of a young worker wearing a hardhat. On the right, two workers in action with drill on the digging of a well. On the left, the watermark and a stylized map of the countries of Central Africa. Below, the value in letters "FIVE THOUSAND FRANCS" is printed in black. Two combinations of signatures printed in black with The Governor and A Auditor. Description of the back: in the center at the top, the wording of the issuing institute "BANK OF CENTRAL AFRICAN STATES" is printed in red. In the center, a scene for picking up cotton balls.
