Italy. Banca d'Italia. 1962-1985 Issues. Dimensions: 166 x 82 mm. Watermark: head of Leonardo da Vinci. Printer: Officina della Banca d'Italia. No security thread. Material: paper. Full color front and back print, predominantly green, brown and red. Description of the front: guilloche frame with the value “50000” printed vertically on the sides in the frame. In the center, a rosette with the texts in dark brown. Below, a red-orange seal with the head of "Medusa". On the right in brown, a portrait of Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519). On the left, the watermark. The banknote number and signatures are printed in black. Three combinations of signatures with The Governor and The Cashier. Description of the back: a view of the castle of Vinci, the Santa Croce Church and the Villa Vignozzi. Bottom right, the text of the penal code. No specimen known for the Type. Replacement note with the W series.
