Italy. Banca d'Italia. 1990-1997 Issues. Work by G. Savini and engraving by T. Cionini for the front. Engraving by Capponi for the back. Dimensions: 163 x 78 mm. Watermark: portrait of Raphaël and BI monogram. Printer: Officina della Banca d'Italia. Safety signs: intaglio printing, safety thread, microtext, color-changing pattern and pattern reconstituted by transvision. Material: paper. Full color printing front and back, predominantly black, purple, green, yellow, blue and red. Description of the front: security background made up of guilloche shapes with the "Triumph of Galatea" in the center. On the right, portrait of the Italian painter Raphaël Sanzio (1483-1520). Near the watermark in blue, the seal of the four Maritime Republics (Amalfi, Genoa, Pisa and Venice). The banknote number is repeated twice and printed in black and blue. The signatures are printed in black. On the left, the location of the watermark. Two signatures with Governor Antonio Fazio and Cashier Fortunato Speziali Angelo Amici. Description of the back: a view of the fresco "The school of Athens". The text of the penal code is printed at the bottom right. No specimen known for the Type. Replacement note with X series.
